le 9 barber street
designing an identity for le 9 barber street wasn’t about drawing a logo
it was about translating a rite
between the black elegance of the suit and the rawness of the line balance had to be found
a character that looks straight ahead not trying to convince
a name that doesn’t shout but asserts itself
the banner for its part extends that silence
it doesn’t announce it waits
because a barber like this isn’t marketed
he’s discovered
design decisions
the visual identity of le 9 barber street was not built to impress
it was crafted to remain
every element was designed to reflect a philosophy rather than a trend
the typography evokes tradition without nostalgia
using spacious lettering to let the name breathe and impose itself calmly
the color palette is deliberately restricted
to black white and a single accent of red
a mark of ceremony of control
the illustration hand drawn embraces its irregularities
as a mirror of craftsmanship
the overall structure of the banner favors silence over spectacle
it does not invite it positions
the logo is not a brand
it is a presence
